Contrary to popular belief, electric guitars are an instrument that requires you to master two very different things. One is, of course, the playing technique, but the other is utilizing the hardware of that guitar and that of the amplifier in order to dial in a great tone.

The Les Paul Special Tribute gets a maple neck and mahogany body, complete with a lush satin nitro finish. A Rosewood fingerboard with acrylic dots ensures a smooth, rounded tone that perfectly contrasts with the double P-90 setup.
Gibson’s Slim Taper neck (with a standard 24.75” scale length) is comfortable in the hand without ever feeling too slim or causing cramp for players with bigger hands. The finish continues along the neck, while the headstock boasts the classic blackout look.
One of the standout things about the Les Paul Special is the dual attack of P-90 pickups, lending themselves to high-octane blues as well as raunchy rock songs. These pickups sound gorgeous when you plug into a gritty tube amp or a lovely dirt pedal.
Chrome hardware and black top hat control knobs offer little distraction from the Special Tribute’s vintage looks, polished off with a compensated wraparound bridge and 5-fly pickguard in black. Delightful.
