Contrary to popular belief, electric guitars are an instrument that requires you to master two very different things. One is, of course, the playing technique, but the other is utilizing the hardware of that guitar and that of the amplifier in order to dial in a great tone.

High Output pickups
The Ibanez Powersound pickups are a series of pickups produced by Ibanez and used for some of the most affordable Ibanez models. You get high output in the neck position with no "muddiness" and you get great harmonic tones in the bridge and middle positions. This is just right for highly articulated lead playing.

- it just sounds really good
When the guitar came home it was more or less perfect except for slightly heighted pickup which is understandable. The action is perfect for fast/ slowing without fret-buzz and sound. Another thing is the end on the pickup switcher is that it's slightly loose but I've heard it's like that on all of GRG series. As long as you don't change pickups like an animal it won't come off.
