- What a Glorious Amp !!
-
There comes a time during one's gear acquisition journey that one questions: Do I really need these many 'fiddlemabobs' on my setup to actually translate my playing into a useful sound that can fit into a mix?
Orange's philosophy has always been to cut the crap and keep everything as simple and clean as possible (one google image search into their amp head circuits would attest to this philosophy).
The Rocker 32 is a *very* well designed amp reminiscent of the early OR15 designs. It has enough headroom and low mid spank to not miss or warrant a 6L6 setup and a gain channel with one of the widest bandwidths of any amp that I have played. That is to say that depending on your settings, you can have it go from a blues crunch all the way to the Dark Terror territory. I won't speak allocades of the dual return stereo inputs as you have probably read all about that if you are considering this amp.
The biggest attraction, if I had to sum it up, would be the amp's absolute honesty in the translation of sound and dynamics and its utility. In a world where anything less than 4 x 12" Celestion Speakers and 100-watt heads seems like blasphemy, the amp challenges your notions of the need for such an overkill setup and delivers in spades.
Also its loud af ;) !! Holy sh** my neighbours from two buildings away were cursing quite passionately when the gain channel kicked in :^)
Did I say I really like this amp? I really like this amp !!
Also, Musikshack is awesome. They packed it like absolute professionals and delivered it faster than an ambulance would take to reach my homeRating
