Contrary to popular belief, electric guitars are an instrument that requires you to master two very different things. One is, of course, the playing technique, but the other is utilizing the hardware of that guitar and that of the amplifier in order to dial in a great tone.
It is a classic double cutaway design, comes with 24 jumbo frets; Diamond high-output dual Duncan-designed humbuckers, 1 volume, 1 tone control, one 3-way Les-Paul-type pickup selector, really nice arched top. It is a Strat-type double cut-away style, with easy access to all 24 frets. Something that everyone REALLY likes about this guitar: it has a 25.5" bolt-on maple neck which feels really fast, semi Goth inlay rosewood fretboard and it also has Seymour Duncans, a JB and a 59.
The body is basswood and is not heavy. It has Grover tuners. Guitar is perfect from a newbie to advanced player hard rock guitarist who love to hit low power chords and high octave riffs. Though the basswood body is a little on the thick side, you can play for hours with it and you hardly notice it's there. It is beautifully shaped, and it looks awesome in all the colours. The paint is very thick and durable. A Tune-O-Matic bridge with a thru-body, allowing a great deal of sustain, and enabling the guitar to stay in tune for longer periods of time. The stock Duncan pickups are amazing. The tuners are pretty good, and it stays in tune forever. All in all The Schecter Omen 6 is quite possibly the best guitar you can get in the price range, especially if you're looking to play rock or metal.
The Schecter Omen 6 electric guitar is a great metal guitar that you can play for hours; although the profile and top have been subtly reshaped.
This guitar has a great low range and is perfect for power chords. The three settings give completely different sounds, and they're all useful. The bridge pickup is bright and powerful, the neck pickup has the classic Les Paul kind of underwater sound, and the middle position, both pickups, has a really full, different sound, when it's time for a little different tone. Play rock, blues and metal, anything on this guitar. This may sound too good to be true, but this thing is a tone machine on which you can do whatever you need to.
This Schecter has a good crunchy sound on distortion and is really clear when you play without distortion.
The neck is nice and sturdy, even with its bolt-on construction. Nice black finish and great action. A very comfortable guitar to hold and is very fast which makes for very easy soloing. Not too heavy; you could play it for hours without getting a sore leg. The pickups are positioned great, everything fit secure, and this thing plays great. It has really good feel to it. You will love how comfortable it is and how easy to play it is. The finish is beautiful and there is just something amazing about seeing your reflection in the body of a luscious black guitar. Very nice feeling high quality strings. The knobs, tuners and bridge piece were all working and of very high quality. But it is easily adjustable. This guitar came from the factory in tip-top and flawless at out warehouse.
This guitar is very well-constructed, tough and would be able to withstand anything you could do with it at a gig. If you want durability, this guitar will satisfy that need admirably. This thing is built like a tank. You could drop it and not have it worry about it not working. The strap buttons are as solid as it gets. The hardware will last a lifetime. The Schecter gets every job done; this guitar is a beast.

- Omen 6 the top guitar! I love it...
Excellent craftsmanship. Fine craftsmanship from Indonesia. Excellent construction.Fret ends are polished.Worth 2-3x more than asking price. The price of this guitar was one of the underlying factors of why I bought it and I must say it is well worth the price. smooth action and great pick ups make this guitar great not to mention the aesthetically pleasing inlay on the fret board. if your looking for a great quality guitar for a reasonable price this is it!
- its set up perfect from the factory.
This guitar suits my all around rock style pretty well but if I had the money then I would get the Schecter c1 special. The frets higher up tend to get a little too small and is very difficult to finger the 24 frets. The harmonics are great and loud all the way down the finger board. Not so great for pick slides, you'll get some sound of the strings main sound during the slide. The action, fit and finish is perfect. Every thing was set together very well . This is a quality looking guitar Every thing is perfect, the strings when they get old they will lose tone and the higher up the further off the pitch but that is just the strings. Only if you have major problems with that then it wont help your Live playing. I have played in a few gigs in collages and I would recommend to fit new strings before the gig or competition.
