Details

The ever popular CPX series has now just unleashed its 3rd generation of guitars, with new looks, upgraded electrics and the fantastic playability that has become well known in Yamaha guitars. The CPX series boast a medium-jumbo body that gives a powerful rich bass  with smooth delicate highs and warm mid-range. The CPX500 offers the player a modern voice that is equally comfortable at home or on the stage.

The CPX500 features a classic circular soundhole and X-type bracing that gives a strong, rich acoustic tone with focused mid-range and a tight bass. The CPX 500 also offers a piezo based electronics system developed by Yamaha for use onstage. This electronics system is powered by an easily accessible battery compartment, taking AA batteries for a stable power supply. There is a comprehensive control panel on the side of the guitar that features a 3-band equalizer, an adjustable mid-range frequencyh control and a precision chromatic tuner for optimum tone.

Loving this black beauty!
Beautifull, beautiful guitar! Very easy to play and the sound is very nice! The pickups are really good and bright! Worth your money!

in love with CPX 500 III
I purchased this guitar a few days ago and instantly fell in love with it, I've just began playing acoustic after playing electric for about 3 years, its so easy to play with the Nice D shaped neck, the response to playing quietly and loudly in unbelievable, mellow when played quietly then really twangy when played louder, not sure about all the specs because I only recently bought it, but its definitely worth the money.
